This place was amazing! Came before a show at the Prudential Center after doing some research on restaurants in the area and it did not disappoint. Oredred the Crab-Vocado, Atun Cajun, Tips Con Cameron, Pulpo, and then ended with the Boquerones. We loved all of it, but especially the beef tips in mushroom sauce special and do NOT sleep on the Boquerones if you're looking for a delicious acidic bite! Great atmosphere great food, friendly service. 🌟

I stopped here during a layover from Newark and had a great lunch. The jamon croquettes were very good as they are hard to find in the US. The other tapas I had were excellent as well. The Flan was delicious and a great way to top it off. I think this restaurant is reasonably priced and will be back in the future.

The service was good, and the atmosphere was nice, which made for an enjoyable experience. The food was tasty, but I did expect a bit more variety on the menu. It felt like the tapas were mostly turned into larger plates, which was interesting but not quite what I was hoping for. Overall, I had a great time, and the food was well-prepared. Even with the menu feeling a bit limited, everything we ordered was delicious.

Loved the place, the main room, the backyard, the tapas but the best part was the Sangria. The environment is very traditional. You feel the Spanish atmosphere. Next time in Newark I will come back.

I can't even count the amount of times I've been here, but if one thing is guaranteed, it's that the food and drinks will always be top tier. I would easily consider this place as one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. There is a large selection of tapas, I have tried almost 90% of the menu and it is all amazing. My go to drink is the passion fruit sangria and it might be the best sangria I've ever had. I highly highly recommend coming here, you'll absolutely love it.

I really enjoyed my visit here! Every dish was full of flavor, and the presentation showed real care. The menu focused on a smaller selection, yet each item felt thoughtfully crafted and satisfying. The atmosphere added to the experience, making it a great place to relax and enjoy good food with friends.

This is a nice restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. There is a big selection, if you are a meat eater. For vegetarians, it’s mediocre, at best. I have decided to boycott any restaurant that tells me they will just take a dish from the menu, but put in vegetables to make it vegetarian for me. This lacks forethought and usually the dish arrives very bland. So when the waitress said she could remove everything from the paella and just add some vegetables, it was a pass for me. The suggestion of, you could have a salad is an insult. The meat eaters at our table liked the food.

A Cozy Gem with Great Food and Hidden Happy Hour Deals My golden rule is this: if you go to a restaurant or bar before 6 p.m., you should be able to enjoy some kind of discount in the form of happy hour or early bird specials, as they used to be called. For some reason, though, many places in Newark seem to hide these deals instead of promoting them. I think that’s a mistake. Restaurants should advertise their early specials clearly to attract more people during those hours. Casa d’Paco is one of the places I had been wanting to visit for quite some time, and I finally made it there this week. It’s a small, cozy, dimly lit spot that immediately makes you feel warm and happy to be there. I’m not sure if it’s family-owned, but everyone—from the busboy to the bartender—made me feel at home, as if I were a regular, even though it was my first visit. After looking through the menu, I asked the bartender if they had any happy hour items. As if sharing a state secret, he let me know that a couple of menu items were actually discounted, even though there was no printed happy hour menu. I ordered the empanadillas carne y queso with ground meat, which turned out to be on this “hidden” happy hour menu, along with the crab cakes from the regular menu. I loved both. What really stood out to me was the service. As soon as the crab cakes arrived, the busboy noticed the waitstaff was busy and asked if I’d like some bread with them. Small gestures like that showed me that the staff genuinely cares about making sure guests have a good meal and a good time. The same thing happened with the drinks: no visible happy hour menu, but if you ask, the bartender will tell you what’s discounted. I tried a couple of sangrias and really enjoyed them. I seriously considered ordering a third glass, but I managed to stop myself because I didn’t want to be too tipsy on the train ride home. Overall, Casa d’Paco is a great place to spend an early evening. It has a welcoming atmosphere, great amb
